We teach maths one-to-one across Gurgaon for Classes 6 to 12, at home or online. Maths is the subject where a gap compounds fastest, because every chapter assumes the last one — so the first job is finding where the gap actually starts, which is usually earlier than the current chapter.

The gap is almost never in the current chapter

When a Class 9 student cannot handle algebra, the missing piece is usually Class 7 integers or Class 8 manipulation. When a Class 11 student stalls, it is often Class 9 or 10 algebra. Teaching the current chapter harder does not work, because the difficulty is underneath it.

We spend the first session or two finding the real starting point, then repair it alongside the running syllabus rather than instead of it.

By stage

  • Classes 6–8: integers, fractions and the beginning of algebra — the foundation everything senior assumes.
  • Classes 9–10: algebra, geometry and trigonometry, plus the board answer-writing habits that protect method marks.
  • Classes 11–12: calculus, algebra, vectors and probability, with timed paper practice as the boards approach.

Method marks are the cheapest marks in maths and the most commonly given away. Writing the formula, showing substitution and carrying units earn marks even when the final answer is wrong. Students who jump straight to a number lose them every paper.

Questions parents ask

My child understands in class but cannot do homework alone.

That specific pattern almost always means a missing prerequisite rather than inattention. Following a worked solution is recognition; doing it alone is recall plus application. The gap sits between the two.

Is online effective for maths?

Yes, provided both people can write on a shared surface. Maths is taught by working problems together, so a session where the tutor writes and the student watches is not worth having in either format.

How long does a gap take to close?

Typically three to six weeks of focused work for one clear gap, worked on twice a week. Broader gaps take a term.

Which areas do you cover?

Dwarka and wider Delhi, plus Gurgaon and Noida — subject to actual tutor availability in your area. Call 9212142428 and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve your address rather than promising first and checking later.
